Clinical Confidence Earned in Layers.

Where procedural competence becomes professional excellence.

Doctorate-level aesthetic medicine training in a positive, nurturing environment — built for nurses, NPs, CRNAs, and PAs who are serious about mastery, not just technique. This is not your next weekend certification. This is the turning point in your career.

"The gap between a provider who can perform a procedure and one who has truly mastered it is not measured in syringes — it is measured in layers of understanding, built one deliberate experience at a time."

Our Belief

This industry can be unkind.
We choose not to be.

Aesthetic medicine is a field built on trust — between provider and patient, between educator and student. Shannon Slabinski has spent 25 years watching what happens when that trust is honored, and what happens when it isn't.

She built Layering Aesthetics around a single belief: that the highest standard of clinical excellence and the deepest culture of human kindness are not in conflict. They are the same thing. This work is not reserved for the already-credentialed, the already-confident, or the already-established. We raise the standard by lifting people — not by diminishing them.

That is Shannon's mark on this industry. That is Layering Aesthetics.

Not a course.
A transformation.

Every design decision in our curriculum — from pedagogy to environment to instructor caliber — is intentional. Here is why we are different from everything else in this industry.

01
Doctorate-Level Faculty. Always.
Every Layering Aesthetics instructor holds a doctorate-level clinical degree and decades of hands-on practice. Not a brand rep. Not a sales trainer. A clinician who has spent a career earning the knowledge they are now transferring to you.
02
Kindness Is Not Optional Here.
Clinical excellence is not born in intimidating environments. Our training culture is built on psychological safety, encouragement, and constructive feedback — because the most profound learning happens when people feel genuinely supported, not judged. Every student who walks in deserves that.
03
Layered, Not Dumped.
We do not hand you information and call it education. We build your competency the way master clinicians have always been developed: concept to touch to refinement to ownership. Each layer is only introduced when the layer beneath it is truly solid.
04
Clinical Communication as a Core Skill.
The best hands in the room are useless without the ability to consult, connect, and communicate. We train the full professional — patient consultation, treatment planning, managing expectations, and building the trust that drives long-term reputation.
05
High-Touch Leadership Training.
Whether you are building a solo practice or leading a medspa team, professional excellence requires leadership. We train you to hold a standard — for yourself, your team, and your clients — that defines your clinic's reputation for years to come.
06
This Space Belongs to Everyone.
This work is not reserved for a certain credential, a certain background, or a certain level of existing confidence. Every qualified clinician who is serious about their craft belongs here. We build people up. We do not sort them by rank. That is the standard Shannon has always held — and always will.

Four layers.
One complete clinician.

Our curriculum is not a menu — it is a progression. Each layer is a prerequisite for the next, building the deepest possible foundation for professional ownership of your craft.

Layer I
Foundation
Know before you touch
Before any needle, you must understand the face with the depth of a clinician trained in anesthesia. Anatomy, pharmacology, and patient safety at a level most programs skip entirely.
  • Deep facial anatomy & vascular mapping
  • Danger zones & complication prevention
  • Neurotoxin & filler pharmacology
  • Consultation mastery & informed consent
  • Safety protocols & emergency response
  • Regulatory framework (PA & national)
Layer II
Application
Deliberate hands-on practice
Supervised live model training with real-time feedback. Technique is introduced, practiced, corrected, and practiced again — until it lives in your hands, not just your memory.
  • Neuromodulator technique: forehead, glabella, periorbital
  • Lip flip, masseter, brow lift
  • HA filler fundamentals: lip augmentation
  • Needle vs. cannula applications
  • Aspiration & safety protocol practice
  • Dosing, dilution & product selection
Layer III
Refinement
Developing your clinical eye
A good injector treats. A great injector sculpts. Layer III develops aesthetic judgment, advanced techniques, and the ability to see — and plan — the full face.
  • Facial balancing & proportion analysis
  • Mid-face, cheek & jawline contouring
  • Tear trough & under-eye treatment
  • Advanced neurotoxin patterns
  • Combination treatment planning
  • Complication management (hyaluronidase)
Layer IV
Mastery
Where precision becomes instinct
A 90-day mentorship directly with Shannon — for providers ready to build, lead, and define a standard of care that drives long-term clinic reputation.
  • Advanced clinical case reviews
  • Business of aesthetics & ethical marketing
  • Building & pricing a services menu
  • Team leadership & clinical culture
  • Teaching & precepting others
  • Layering Aesthetics Certification

Trained at the
highest level of healthcare.

Shannon Slabinski is not a speaker who became a trainer. She is a doctorate-prepared CRNA who spent decades mastering the precision of anesthesia — one of the most pharmacologically complex and safety-critical specialties in all of medicine — and then turned that depth of clinical knowledge toward the aesthetic field she loves.

She spent years educating graduate anesthesia students, and in that work she discovered something the aesthetics education world largely ignores: how someone learns matters as much as what they are taught. Whether a student is tactile, visual, or auditory. Whether the environment feels safe or stressful. Whether the instructor has patience or impatience as their default. These things determine whether a skill is truly owned — or merely performed.

Shannon built Layering Aesthetics to get that right. And she built it on a belief that this field belongs to every serious clinician — not just those who already have a seat at the table.

Learn with Shannon

We assess how
you learn before
we begin teaching.

Most training programs deliver the same experience to every student and call it education. We don't. Before instruction begins, we understand whether you learn by touch, by watching, or by listening. We design around that. Because mastery is never transferred — it is built, one deliberate layer at a time, in an environment where you feel safe enough to practice, fail, adjust, and grow.

Conceptual Understanding First

Every tactile skill begins with deep anatomical and pharmacological understanding. We do not put a needle in your hand before you can articulate exactly what tissue plane you are targeting, what product behavior to expect, and what risk you are managing.

Deliberate Practice Under Supervision

We believe in coached repetition over self-directed guessing. Our live model training is small-group, supervised, and feedback-intensive. You practice with intention. You receive real-time correction. You practice again — until the technique stops being a thought and starts being instinct.

Communication as a Clinical Skill

Patient consultation, expectation management, and trust-building are clinical skills — ones that most programs skip entirely. We train them with the same rigor we bring to technique, because your ability to communicate defines your reputation more than your syringe ever will.

A Safe Environment Is Not a Soft Standard

Shannon has seen what impatient instruction, distracted environments, and intimidating cultures do to learners — and to the patients those learners eventually treat. Psychological safety is not a nicety. It is a clinical prerequisite. Every Layering Aesthetics instructor is chosen as much for their capacity to teach with warmth and patience as for their clinical excellence. Both are non-negotiable.

Professional Excellence Is the Standard

We are not training providers to clear a bar. We are training them to set one. The benchmark at Layering Aesthetics is: Does this provider carry themselves, communicate, and perform at a level that builds a clinic's reputation for the long term?

Built for clinicians who are
serious about the long game.

What Our Providers Say

The clinical confidence
speaks for itself.

"I have taken courses before where I left knowing I had watched something impressive. After Shannon's training, I left knowing I could do it — and knowing exactly why it worked. That is a completely different experience."

"Shannon's ability to translate her depth of clinical knowledge into something teachable — and do it in a way that is encouraging, not intimidating — is rare. This is the course I wish I had taken when I started."

"The anatomy content alone was worth every penny. I learned things in Layer One that I should have known before I ever touched a syringe. My consultations and my confidence are completely different now."

Begin Your Layered Journey

This is the career inflection
point you've been waiting for.

The clinicians who define the future of aesthetic medicine are not the ones who learned the most shortcuts. They are the ones who were willing to go deep — to build real mastery, real confidence, and the kind of professional character that lifts everyone around them. Shannon built this for you. All of you. Come as you are. Leave exceptional.
