Where procedural competence becomes professional excellence.
Doctorate-level aesthetic medicine training in a positive, nurturing environment — built for nurses, NPs, CRNAs, and PAs who are serious about mastery, not just technique. This is not your next weekend certification. This is the turning point in your career.
"The gap between a provider who can perform a procedure and one who has truly mastered it is not measured in syringes — it is measured in layers of understanding, built one deliberate experience at a time."
Aesthetic medicine is a field built on trust — between provider and patient, between educator and student. Shannon Slabinski has spent 25 years watching what happens when that trust is honored, and what happens when it isn't.
She built Layering Aesthetics around a single belief: that the highest standard of clinical excellence and the deepest culture of human kindness are not in conflict. They are the same thing. This work is not reserved for the already-credentialed, the already-confident, or the already-established. We raise the standard by lifting people — not by diminishing them.
That is Shannon's mark on this industry. That is Layering Aesthetics.
Every design decision in our curriculum — from pedagogy to environment to instructor caliber — is intentional. Here is why we are different from everything else in this industry.
Our curriculum is not a menu — it is a progression. Each layer is a prerequisite for the next, building the deepest possible foundation for professional ownership of your craft.
Shannon Slabinski is not a speaker who became a trainer. She is a doctorate-prepared CRNA who spent decades mastering the precision of anesthesia — one of the most pharmacologically complex and safety-critical specialties in all of medicine — and then turned that depth of clinical knowledge toward the aesthetic field she loves.
She spent years educating graduate anesthesia students, and in that work she discovered something the aesthetics education world largely ignores: how someone learns matters as much as what they are taught. Whether a student is tactile, visual, or auditory. Whether the environment feels safe or stressful. Whether the instructor has patience or impatience as their default. These things determine whether a skill is truly owned — or merely performed.
Shannon built Layering Aesthetics to get that right. And she built it on a belief that this field belongs to every serious clinician — not just those who already have a seat at the table.
Learn with ShannonMost training programs deliver the same experience to every student and call it education. We don't. Before instruction begins, we understand whether you learn by touch, by watching, or by listening. We design around that. Because mastery is never transferred — it is built, one deliberate layer at a time, in an environment where you feel safe enough to practice, fail, adjust, and grow.
View the CurriculumEvery tactile skill begins with deep anatomical and pharmacological understanding. We do not put a needle in your hand before you can articulate exactly what tissue plane you are targeting, what product behavior to expect, and what risk you are managing.
We believe in coached repetition over self-directed guessing. Our live model training is small-group, supervised, and feedback-intensive. You practice with intention. You receive real-time correction. You practice again — until the technique stops being a thought and starts being instinct.
Patient consultation, expectation management, and trust-building are clinical skills — ones that most programs skip entirely. We train them with the same rigor we bring to technique, because your ability to communicate defines your reputation more than your syringe ever will.
Shannon has seen what impatient instruction, distracted environments, and intimidating cultures do to learners — and to the patients those learners eventually treat. Psychological safety is not a nicety. It is a clinical prerequisite. Every Layering Aesthetics instructor is chosen as much for their capacity to teach with warmth and patience as for their clinical excellence. Both are non-negotiable.
We are not training providers to clear a bar. We are training them to set one. The benchmark at Layering Aesthetics is: Does this provider carry themselves, communicate, and perform at a level that builds a clinic's reputation for the long term?
"I have taken courses before where I left knowing I had watched something impressive. After Shannon's training, I left knowing I could do it — and knowing exactly why it worked. That is a completely different experience."
"Shannon's ability to translate her depth of clinical knowledge into something teachable — and do it in a way that is encouraging, not intimidating — is rare. This is the course I wish I had taken when I started."
"The anatomy content alone was worth every penny. I learned things in Layer One that I should have known before I ever touched a syringe. My consultations and my confidence are completely different now."
The clinicians who define the future of aesthetic medicine are not the ones who learned the most shortcuts. They are the ones who were willing to go deep — to build real mastery, real confidence, and the kind of professional character that lifts everyone around them. Shannon built this for you. All of you. Come as you are. Leave exceptional.
